Standing up for ones principles:

Standing alone, at times ridiculed, and left ‘on the hill’ is oft a place I find myself - though better to be in defiant solitude than joining others in ignorance on the road to despair. Being the lone voice in a world without compassion, understanding and imagination is however a necessary burden. The hopes and aspirations of the dreamers and creative thinkers can be either simple or outlandish but still, of relevant importance. It’s sad that to note that many feel the need to challenge, if not destroy their input.
Those conformists that wish to lead into a convenient zone of normality because of their own agenda are at best a sad indictment of the day, and at worst something more sinister.
Life needs continual fresh and young (minded) folk of World Wide opinion and expression. Intellect and profound thought can be any, if not everywhere, and any contribution is worthy; for its perspective on issues current, former and of the things to come.
One of the World’s most undervalued resources is its people. Their views are a necessary and indeed essential requisite of our development. Too often prophets have been overlooked, ignored and disregarded by the few ‘for the better good of the masses’ – and done so without consultation. It is those same people however, who have ideas outside the box that should be encouraged, explored and embraced.
Continuous Personal Development is a word associated with academic advancement - though I believe we all have things to gain from the new; ideas, theories and beliefs along with conviction of conscience are values to aspire to. So stand for your principles like a Ram and not (blindly) follow like a sheep, I feel is an important principle against such adversity (or is that just me being an Arien?) <>
